Creating Ritual, communing with oneself 🕯

How often do you sit with yourself in intentional, open, silence? Holding yourself completely in the present with an open heart to receive. I don’t do it enough. I create ritual and ceremony in the small moments of my everyday life but it is rare that I will be so bold to sit in circle with my heart and no stimulus but silence. Sounds dumb and obvious but it is really so profound. Revelations flood through my body in the most ordinary way and rather than being dismissed or distracted from, they are honoured, contemplated on and heard. The message I received last night is that it is time to feel into our foundations and root down into our purpose. To be devoted to being in service. To be devoted to being a perpetual student in a sustainable way. To heal and rest and share these gifts with those who are riding your wave. To gaze at our souls and what they came here to do. To find that which makes us bow so deep that our forehead touches the earth. We must come back to ourselves often. We must take radical responsibility always. It’s a shit show out there. As white people, we must not turn our backs on what is happening rather turn inward so that we can hear our own and hold ourselves accountable and then move into action from this place authenticity. Creating ritual and ceremony is holding vigil for truth, it connects us to our individual cycles and the cycles of the Earth. Body as a bridge, clear and open How do you honour your inner voice? How do you take care of yourself in a sustainable way so you can be in service in a sustainable way? What are the ways in which you connect to the earth and it’s cycles to heal the patriarchal culture living in your bones?
